There are many things you can do each day to stay healthy like:
- Eating fruits and vegetables
- Being active
- Not smoking
- Flossing your teeth
- Using your seatbelt
Another healthy habit to start and keep is to make sure you see your doctor at least one time a year – even when you feel well.
Going to the doctor each year gives you a chance to talk about your health goals. You may be asked to fill out a health assessment at your doctor’s office. This will give your doctor an idea of your health habits and how to best help you meet your goals.
Your doctor may do some health screenings to help find health problems early. They will also make sure you are up to date with your shots to help keep you from getting things like the flu.
