California Health & Wellness Plan (CHWP) is pleased to introduce ConferMED eConsult, an innovative e-consultation platform that supports Medi-Cal members

Getting started is easy

With ConferMED eConsult, you get 150+ specialists covering more than 40 adult and pediatric specialties.

  • Board certified: In specialty or subspecialty.
  • Licensed: All specialists are California licensed and enrolled as Medi-Cal providers.
  • NCQA-level credentialing.

A primary care physician (PCP) can transmit a consult question, along with clinical information, images, results and other content from the medical record, directly to a specialist for review.

How ConferMED eConsult works

  • Protected health information (PHI) included.
  • No additional technology.
  • Health Insurance Portability and
  • Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant.
  1. PCP submits eConsult.
  2. Specialist reviews eConsult and responds with treatment and management suggestions.
  3. PCP receives consult note in three business days.
