Apply for CalHealthCares Loan Repayment Program!
The application is available on January 13, 2020, for eligible Medi-Cal providers
Physicians who have recently graduated, can apply for the CalHealthCares loan repayment program1 in exchange for a five-year service obligation.
Criteria requires providers to:
· Have graduated in the past five years.
· Be a current licensed health care provider by June 30, 2020.
· Establish a new practice and maintain a minimum 30% or more Medi-Cal patient caseload for five years.
· Expand or relocate their practice to a target county in California with an eligible Medi-Cal population.
CalHealthCares urges providers with this incentive to increase access to care for
Medi-Cal patients. Make sure to submit your application before the closing date of February 7, 2020.
This update is being distributed to physicians associated with independent physician associations (IPAs) and direct network physicians.
